| | i dont even know where to begin to express the thoughts that run through my mind day in and day out. i'm not sure what can comfort that besides God. no one will fully understand what i am talking about unless they are going through the same thing, if you didnt meet the same amazing students, build a strong community with the same teammates or experience God in the same way and missing it at that level its hard to explain. four months is so far away, what will i do until then. it just wasnt this hard last year. well i'm out for now. i love you as the mouse loves the rice and will try to compose my thoughts better for my next posting. | | comments: Leave a comment |
| | and alas, the journey is about to begin again. i remember when i arrived back in the states on august 9th last year i didnt know how i was ever going to make it through the year before i could return to china. i didnt know how i would say goodbye to friends who had grown so much with me over the previous month. but here i sit. i have one full day left here and then i'm off to california. this summer is going to be so different from last summer, but in some respects its going to be the same too. i'm going to be in a culture that i'm so fond of, one that people just cant even imagine to reality until they have themselves experienced it. i know my heart will be touched, my life changed, my heart remolded and my eyes opened again. i'm enjoying these last 30 hours, savoring them, but anxious at the same time. i guess this is me signing off for the summer. if you want to get ahold of me, well i guess you will just have to wait til i get back in august, or else track down someone who knows how to get ahold of me and go through them since they have received special instructions. have a wonderful summer everyone! | | comments: Leave a comment |
| | i had an amazing weekend. i think it was really good to see her and really have someone i could actually talk aobut china with. i mean talk about it not worrying if they care about the story or not. as the days tick down farther and farther until training i get nervous and excited at the same time. i miss my xining people though, being all the way down in arkansas, michigan is a long ways away from there! but yeah after the weekend this morning when i was journalling i came to a great realization in an analogy. bear with me for a minute. so going to china is sort of like having a kid, well not that i've had any children before, but so i hear. the first one you are really careful with and you love it so much and you take a million pictures and all that. well the second child comes along and you love that one so much too. you dont love either one more than the other, but yet they are different, not because you made them htat way, but their personalities just evolved that way. hmmm yeah. anyways i had a great weekend. we ate at chipotle, went to china town and had the most amazing tea ever, megan and i made a little video of us and our adventures in china, bought the cd of the century(worship songs sung in chinese that are so beautiful), went to the chicago blues festival, drove around looking for pizza for like 2.5 hours, chilled and laughed with megans teammates, went to the chinese christian church. oh it was such a refreshing weekend. now this is my last full week before i fly out to california. woa! | | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

| | so today as abby and i were watching final destination and suddenly the tv breaks into a warning of a tornado over lake poygan. lake poygan is like 15 minutes from here. scary! many of you probably know how much i hate tornados. but then guess what. i go downstairs til it passes. and then meggy called! i was excited. so i stopped even thinking about the tornado and tlaked with megan. :) now i know how to solve the fear of tornadoes, talk through it.oh an di'm going to visit her next weekend! i havent seen her since october. yay! | | comments: Leave a comment |

| i am home and i miss people. maybe its because this year was the first semester where i didnt live in the dorms so i didnt have that to be excited to leave. i missed erins randomness. i missed hearing melissa's playlist repeat. i miss random people stopping by. i miss seeing lard in giant letters. i miss my swing. i miss fellowship.
at the same time its weird to think that i leave for china in under two months. i dont even know what to think about that. though i still have a bunch of fundraising to do.
well i'm off to bed and its mothers day tomorrow. :)

| well i am doing a little better. i talked to the person which the previous entry involved and while i cant say its all back to being peachy i know that they at least know how sorry i am. i have given it entirly back over to God and i know he will take care of it. i'm so amazed at how even though i tried to take the situation over for myself God totally still had his hands wrapped around my heart to protect it. My God amazes me everyday. yay God! i know it hurts but it would have been so much worse if God wasnt there to take my pain and wrap me tightly in His arms. His love is sufficient for me and i will rejoice in that.
well today i spend the day up at the middle school getting in observing hours. have a great day and if you could please say a prayer for who i hurt i would appreciate it. thank you so much. love you guys! my friends rock, even though i know you guys didnt know what was going on yesterday i could still feel your love and prayers, thank you for that! bye!!
